Embedding PAL movie to show in NTSC TV
I am preparing a Powerpoint presentation in the UK which will be shown at a training session in Canada. The presentation includes a number of videos which will be embedded as .wmv files.
The presentation will be played out from a Macbook Pro, via HDMI (or possibly VGA) to a large television. I am wondering whether the files, which are in PAL format (25 fps), will play out successfully, as Canada is an NTSC region (30fps) and the TV will have been bought there. Do modern TVs support both formats? Or is this not an issue when using Powerpoint?
If need be I can convert the files from PAL to NTSC using Sorenson Squeeze. But there are lots of them and it will take some time to do this. Can anyone tell me if this will be necessary?
