Slide Number Count from a folder

Hello,

Is it possible to acquire the total number of slides from various folders (containing ppt. files) - like just one folder that may have in it thousands of slides in different files and folders. A manual count (I have it showing 'slides' in the window) would be a massive pain lol. Thanks!
