Default Text box animations

Good Morning - I am new here and I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a slide with a picture of a TV on which I have two text boxes, one on top of the other. I have a "remote" with two action buttons. When I click on the first button the first text box displays.

How can I make the first text box not visible when I click to display the second text box?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I did a demo for someone else with a similar question. Download it and study how the animations work in the animation pane.

Good Afternoon - I have studied the animations and think I understand how it works however I am confused as to how to add a new text box and rectangle.

I created a new box and rectangle. I know that I need to add a disappear (for 0) with a Start:With Previous and I have done that. But when I try to add a trigger it moves the disappear in 0 to a new section.

Can you explain the sequence of setting up a new text box and rectangle?

I would very much appreciate the help as this is exactly what I need to do.

Thanks in advance.

So

Select both text boxes > Add animation > Disappear Both With Previous

Select Text Box 1 Add Animation Appear
Select Text Box 2 Add Animation Disappear

All With Previous

You should have 4 animations in the animation pane now.

Select 3 & 4 (hold down shift) then use the little drop arrow > Effect Options > Timing and set the trigger shape

Now select text1 and add animation Diosappear and Text 2 Add Animation Appear and add a new trigger as before.

Make sure you use the Add Animation Button each time

Hope that helps
