I 'm trying to insert a SWF by using "Insert -> Video -> From my PC" and when I try to play it I get this message:
Your current security settings do not allow this action. I 've tried lowering security for IE, changing PowerPoint security options, nothing. The same file plays in PPT 2010/2007. Any help is appreciated. |

Have you tried using the Developer tab on the ribbon?
1. Activate Developer tab on your ribbon by clicking File > Options > Customize Ribbon. 2. Click Developer tab > More Controls icon (=tools+3dots) > Shockwave Flash Object > cursor has changed > draw rectangle 3. Right-click rectangle > fill out name of swf file |

Hi,
I am also looking the solution! I have tried the following: - I disable hardware acceleration in the PowerPoint - Set back Security settings - I know the toolbox insert Flash Object option also, but dosent work The PC are Win7 and W8.1 with O2013 Std an Pro also. What I have discover today, that I open an ppt, which was created about a month ago and the inserted swf works fine. When I insert a new slide with swf, the new swf didint start it. Any idea? |

So I had same problem
![]() http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-56151 Now looks ok. In the power point there are two ways to insert swf (probably there are more, but I know just two). - using developer tab. This is working with the new beta Flash player version no 14.0.0.160 - copy / paste (or insert video from my PC). this is still wrong and got a black white screen. Regards |
