missing .ppt,.pps etc
PowerPoint icons show their names but not their mode: that is: if they are .ppt, .pps etc. How can I make it re-appeare?

Open the Documents Folder and click "Organize >> Folder and search Options"
Select the VIEW tab and then UNTICK "Hide Extensions for Known File Types" should do it.
