The video format has nothing to do with whether you can access more controls.
Microsoft support told you how to remove DRM - really?? Can you use the built in controls from the developer tab say a combo Box? Are you sure you installed vba when you installed Office and it's not blocked by a company policy? Does ALT f11 open the Visual Basic Editor?
