How can I convet a PPT slide show with sound to a video that I can post on YouTube. I have downloaded many free converters, but so far nothing has worked. Currently the slides advance in synch with the song. I want to convert the PPT exactly as is to a video.
Thank you |

Hello Mr. Drumm,
The PPT did convert, but the song does not play. In the transitions section / sound I uploaded a wav file. Then I recorded the PPT advancing the slides to the song. When I play the PPT it works perfectly. Any other ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you, Alan |

You can Save PPT file as WMV video in PowerPoint 2010.

Are you sure your audio drivers are set up correctly on your PC?
I have a friend who recently could not hear the narration on a Slide Show, and the problem was with his PC. Perhaps the volume is turned down / off? |

It's wierd that it plays in powerpoint but not when you export it as .wmv. Is the original sound file a quicktime file, I see you said it was .wav but is that the original format? These are the compatible sound/video types that windows likes:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/po...in=HA010077717 I would convert the sound file to mp3 and reimport it into the slide show. Make sure when you insert it you look at the drop down and hit insert and not link. (Like in this picture) http://www.flickr.com/photos/obsoccer/6982689245/ If all the pieces are in place and not corrupt then Gary's instructions above should work. |

Click on the insert tab, then on the far right, click on audio. Then click on audio from file on the drop down. That will bring up a window that lets you browse to the folder containing your mp3(the window is embedded in image below). In the bottom right you can even change it from audio files to just show mp3 audio files. Click on the drop down arrow beside insert and make sure you click insert and not link. If you do all that and insert the audio does it give you an error on playback?
