Default Updating Image

I am trying to get several different powerpoints (Office 2007) to auto update the images that are in them. The problem that I have is that the images come from several different military webpages and a log in and password is required to get to them. This wouldn't be an issue, but pulling the image directly from the page slows down the computer a lot.

I tried to just save the image in a folder and then save over the image, but when I restart the powerpoint, the image does not change.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get this to do what I need it to do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need more information as well.

John

When you insert the image, click on the 'Insert' button dropdown, and select 'Link to file'. The file should update when you restart the slideshow (You may have to reopen the file - and it doesn't always update the view until you start the slideshow)
