1) I think you need to decrease pictures size (Use one of the pictures editors).
2) What is the format you use to save the presentation? If you use 97-2003 presentation (PPT) or show (PPS), this well make the file size very big. If so, Use presentation (PPTX) or show (PPSX) which is for 2007-2010. I hope this well help.
