Powerpoint automatically changing picture size when adding a picture (2010)

You can't show a size in Pixels (it would depend on the resolution.)

Sorry but I can't repro the problem at all so it's hard to help.

Are the pictures jpegs?

Yes, mostly jpgs, a few pngs (depending on what I'm doing).

I think I'm going to have to try to attach an example (that hopefully reproduces the problem). Will do that soon.
