I've been having lots of problems trying to get some hyperlinks to work properly. I'm making a quiz where you have to click on the correct picture/textbox to progress. Each question is time limited - if the user doesn't attempt an answer within 15 seconds a timer animation finishes, everything on the screen fades out and and a new hyperlinked 'time out try again' image button appears. Clicking on this button takes the user back to page one where they can start the quiz afresh.
The problem is, when the quiz is started again instead of the initial screen showing question options appearing, the post-fade out 'time out try again' message appears. It's as if the previously visited page isn't refreshing properly. I'm using PowerPoint 2007. Am I missing something simple? Any hints would be appreciated! |

All versions do this. Microsoft "assume" that if you revisit a slide you won't want to go through all the animations again.
To fix add a blank slide BEFORE slide one set to auto transition / zero seconds. make the back link to this slide. |
