Hey everyone, I have ran into an interesting situation that I was hoping to get some feedback on regarding exchange and laptops...
I recently joined a new company and was provided a desktop and laptop. However, I am not able to connect to Exchange via my laptop to configure outlook for email. The company says the policy "to not allow laptops to connect to the domain... for the security of the network" However, I am able to configure my outlook email on my Android phone and my iPad. Does the phone and iPad use a different technology that enables the connection to Exchange? I'd be curious to get your feedback on this policy. Ideally, I would like to use the laptop as my primary computer and would like to have exchange enabled to work offline, integrate with MS office apps, etc. Thanks! |
