Hi,
You could also copy the PST file from the old computer, put it on a thumb drive and take it to the new computer. From there, you can IMPORT just the contacts, you don't have to take it all, into the contacts folder on the new computer.
or,
In Outlook, File / Import and Export... and follow the wizard through exporting to a Personal Folders File (.pst).
