I am using XP SP3 and Office 2003.

I recently added an IMAP account to my list of POP and Hotmail accounts. Everything works fine, except that I cannot use Word as my email editor. As soon as I press reply/forward/new - Outlook hangs.

I tried the obvious solutions - I deleted normal.dot, allowed Word to rebuild it. I tried "Detect and Repair". I tried reinstalling Office. All to no avail.

Finally I deleted the IMAP account - suddenly everything works again fine. If I add the IMAP account back, the problem reappears.

Any suggestions?
