I am currently working on Outlook 2007 with exchange, and have not been able to get emails sent from individuals within a DL to move to a specified folder.
As a work around, I have set up a rule to have emails sent from the certain individuals moved to the specified folder, however due to the volume of contacts I deal with the size limit on my rules has long since been reached. I have roughly about 20 different DL's each with roughly 20 members, and I need each to have e-mails sent from individuals within each DL sent to that DL's corresponding folder in my inbox. I have been looking for a solution so my inbox is not so cluttered with e-mails, but have not been able to, and our IT department is not willing to raise the maximum rule size allowable, saying something about it is not part of our liscense agreement to raise the rule size. Can someone please help!? Thanks! |

Sean,
Outlook rules are limited in this fashion. if a Distribution list containing x amount of user address will not be properly filtered because the DL is Y address. Rule filtering will only see the public group y address and move any emails from that group to a specific folder. Since you have reached your rule limit then creating a rule for each individual contact is going to be difficult to resolve. You could maybe create a customer rule to move the email based on the individuals specific address. This is something i have not tested myself but worth a shot. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...010223243.aspx |
