I have Windows 7 64 bit and am running Office 2010 Professional 32 bit.
When replying to emails or sometimes when sending a new email I get a pop up window asking if I want to save a file? I have attached a copy of an example of this window that I copied and pasted to a word doc. I am not up to speed on this new version of Outlook and have tried googling to find a solution to this. Sometimes I will have five or six of these windows open at once. Anyone know what this is and more importantly how to stop it from happening? I have reviewed all of the Outlook mail settings and cannot find any setting that would cause this. I am composing email in HTML. These windows are trying to save a HTML file. Yes Firefox is the default. There's addins listed when I go to that item in Outlook but I have not added anything other than what came with the initial setup.
Any particular add in that I should check for? Posted via Mobile |

Start by changing the default browser to IE, to see if that changes the behavior. I suspect it will.

IE is now the default and it got worse. These windows started popping up right and left all by themself without any emails being sent. They started before I even closed out the IE options window.

Do you have a People pane displayed in Outlook?
If so, close it. Close and re-open Outlook. If that doesn't do it, try disabling the Social Connector. |

For now closing the personal pane seems to have worked. In an hour of operating today I have not seen that.

If you want the pane open, you might try this to fix: In IE, click Tools > Internet Options Programs tab > Internet Program > Set Programs button - click 'Set Program Access and Computer Defaults' and choose the Microsoft Windows option
