Hi,
Can someone please tell me how i can create a distribution list from emails? I have a folder full of emails. I want to add all of those to a separate (new) contact list excluding duplicates. Then I need to add all those new contacts to a distribution list. Thanks for any help. I am using outlook 2003. Thanks, Gibs |

Im not entirely sure about outlook 2003 having this function, but 2007 and 2010 do. When you open an email, right-clicking the 'from" email address should give you the option to save as contact. Once saved you can then create the new contact group or distribution list.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the reply. Not sure if it is worth upgrading.
Can you tell me if this is possible on adding all emails in a folder to a new contact list then create a distribution list in outlook 2010? It wouldn't be worth time if I had to add the contact from each email one by one. Thanks, Gibs |

The method explained before is the only way to get email to contact.
Another manual method would be to say export your current contact list to a CSV. Using the formatted method you could add additional contacts to the .CSV from each emails. this method is really not recommend as it could produce duplicated entrees if the option is not selected. Here is a site that has instructions Add Contacts for Outlook automatically. http://www.office-addins.com/-outloo...-contacts.html Hope this helps. |
