Download of mails to both outlook and web-based mails

I had the doubt that how to download the mails to both my outlook and web-based mail. In the present scenario, all the mails in inbox of web-based company mail system get downloaded to outlook as soon I access my outlook. So, I want the mails to stay in both, outlook as well as web-based mail system.



I hope, my question is clear.

Please, help in solving the doubt.

Go to Tools -> Email Accounts, select View or change existing accounts, locate the email account, click the button Change..., More Setting..., click the tab Go Advanced, Set Leave a copy of messages on the server checked.

This is for Outlook 2003, other version might be slightly different.
