I'll keep your ideas in mind and will wait to see if anyone has a clue on actually fixing Hotmail Connector. The problem with taking the approach you suggest is that my POP and SMTP addresses seem to change via MS which was why I opted for using Connector in the first place!
I know, it's just a rubbish service but hey, what does MS care... Thanks again.
