Sounds as if the import/export wizard or data file (.pst) is corrupt. Try running a repair on Outlook 2003. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822238

If you still have issues run the scanpst.exe tool to repair the .pst. See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287497
