When a message is deleted, it normally ends up ion your deleted items folder. If you are saying that your messages are not in that folder it is very possible recovery may be challenging.

Does your mail provider have a disaster recovery policy? Meaning they can recover lost messages from a specified date.

Are you on an exchange platform service? Most exchange providers have retention policies for incidents like this one.
