Hi, new here today, I wonder if anyone has an idea to help me.
I have some 40 published theatre stage plays and often send a standard email to theatre companies who are interested in them. I've made an oft file with a bit of text and then 40 small pictures (in a table) of posters from productions of the plays. All works fine (or seems to), but I'd like to add a hyperlink to each of the images in the table to take the reader to the relevant page in my website. The trouble is that I can only add hyperlinks if I have the "compose new emails using Word" option set, but in that case I can't save as an oft file. I seem to remember a problem with tables too, but I seem to have worked around that. I invoke the template from a shortcut on my taskbar and paste in the name and email address, but I really could do with those 40 hyperlinks in place. Anyone any ideas? (I hope) I've uploaded a zip version of my oft file. The links are on my website www.scripts4theatre.com - for example the hyperlink for my play "The Ex Factor" is http://www.ianhornby.co.uk/exfactor.htm |

Hello Ian,
I have got exactly this issue, did you manage to find a solution. I am finding that I can add hyper links to either the source formating (which in my case is from Word 2010), or to the Outlook (2010) message - once I have copied the source formating over - however in all cases as soon as I save the file the hyper links are lost. I have now come at this from two angles: 1). I created markup in DreamWeaver with functional hyper links, however my images have a fine white line between them (which is visually unacceptable), 2). I create markup in Word - but in both cases hyper links aren't working from images. Please let me know if you found a work around. Kind Regards, Davo |
