Yeah good point!!!
I think my organisation wants to go for the full blown sharepoint experience anyway, but at the moment the only thing they want to do is use the calendar, so that they can check to see whose free for meetings, and that sort of thing.
So if I find a couple of minutes i'll have a look through the sharepoint manual and get the server up and running... There are also a couple of sharepoint for dummies style books knocking around, one of them must explain how to create a server, when there is already an intranet in play
