I have recently added a pop3 account (yahoo mail) to outlook to use as my regular email account. This has created a send/receive error.
However, I tested the settings when the account was set up and everything was in order. Receiving mail seems to not be an issue either.
There seems to be a particular problem with sending to Hotmail
I'm by no means a computer whizzkid so can anyone help please?

Are you able to post up the error that you're receiving?

Also, you mention that it seems to be a particular problem sending to Hotmail. Does this mean that it sometimes sends successfully, and sometimes produces the error? Or does it always produce an error when trying to send?

0x800CCC0F is the 'pop3 - sending' error which keeps cropping up. The emails concerned have finally reached their intended destination which is a little baffling. However, when I click the send/receive error message, it tells me that only 3 out of 4 tasks completed successfully.

Do you have a paid Yahoo! account or a free one? I seem to recall that only the PAID accounts can use POP/SMTP.
