![]() I've been searching everywhere trying to resolve this. The error I receive while sending is 0x800ccc0b. While using Microsoft Outlook at work it is impossible to receive emails that have attachments that are excel files with macros. Every other email arrives just fine. You can go and view everything on the email server, but when outlook tries to receive the files it stalls on the email, deletes it from the server, and errors (Reported Error 0x800ccc0b unknown error 0x800ccc0b) I log into the server, see the email sitting in my inbox. I run outlook and retrieve the file and it is removed from the server and doesn't get put in my outlook inbox. One of our vendors who sends the emails with excel macros says that they send them to hundreds of people and the only ones that have experienced issues are those at my company. We run Trend Micro Server Security Agent (if that helps). Under security Protection Status it has POP3 mail OFF, but I'm not to sure what the server settings are. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance : ) |

Have you tried the fix described here?:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827349 Also, you mentioned that the Protection status for your Antivirus program has POP3 mail off. You might also want to check if the AV program has it's own plugin for Outlook. If so, it may function independently of the POP3 setting. You should be able to check by going under File > Options > Add-Ins. -SW |

That fix does not work for my operating system and outlook does not have any add-ins installed other then microsoft add-ins and something called 'TMAS Addin'

TMAS Addin is the Trend Micro Antivirus plug-in, and very well could be the thing that's causing the problem. I'd try disabling it and seeing if the problem remains.

I did have that disabled. Then I removed it altogether and it still removed the email off the server without putting it in the inbox of the outlook client.
I have the settings setup so that the file should be left on the server irregardless. |
