Greetings,
I recently did some cleanup on my Inbox including my Calendar. I already had a PST where I would drag things out of my Online folders and into those offline folders. This go-around, I decided to try and put my Calendar on a diet. I used the File menu -> Archive option. Selected my online Calendar folder, selected "archive items older than 7/31/2010" and then selected my PST file as the Archive file. Popped a dialogue on me and asked "folder of type" and I picked folder type Calendar. Consequences: All my recurring meetings were sent to the archive. Question: is there a way to "unarchive" these meeting requests with all recurrences? If I open the PST Calendar folder, I can see all the meetings but any attempt to 1. drag and drop back to my main calendar only gives a one day copy. 2. to move, gives an error: cannot move the items. HOWEVER, it does say this, "to move a recurring appointment, you must move the original appointment or copy the single occurrence" What does that mean "you must move the original appointment"? Thanks for guidance. GR |

Have you tried changing to List view and then moving the recurring appointment?
To switch to list view, open the archive calendar. Then: 1. Click on the View toolbar. 2. Click on Current View. 3. Click on either All Appointments or Recurring Appointments. This should show just a list of the appointments, which you can then drag and drop over to your regular calendar with the recurrence. Hope this helps. SW |
