When you are editing/viewing a Contact in the Contact Form? Or at some other point? e.g. Exporting, Printing.

Open a Contact. Cursor in the Notes field. Check the Paragraph Spacing.

Outlook: Use accessible fonts and spacing - Microsoft Support

>> yes while viewing contact notes. paragraph spacing is good

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. If the problem is not when viewing contacts, then where does the problem show up? e.g. Exporting? Printing? When you look at a List View of your contacts?

>> extra lines are being inserted between notes

Are the extra lines between lines in a single Contact Notes field? Or between entire contacts when listing?

when I view a contact there are notes associated to that contact.
for example the notes field will have 3-4 lines

it's in this notes space where extra lines were inserted between each line whereas previously these lines had no space between them..

If you would please, open a Contact that has data in the Notes field.

Put your cursor in the Notes field.
From the Outlook menu do Format Text -> ¶

This should show the formatting marks in the Notes field. It should look something like this.

How does what you see differ from this?

Do I understand correctly - You click in the Contact Notes field, and then on the Outlook Format Text menu you do not see a ¶ like I show in my pic?
