Default Outlook 365 (not desktop) superscript question

This drives me nuts. Why does Outlook use the th superscript for 4th but not 5th? I would like to have it uniform one way or the other. I've looked all through the settings and don't see how to change this.

Please note that I am using the version of Outlook that comes with MS 365, not the desktop version that has more flexibility.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
