Move email OUT of Outlook 365?
I have a client who is leaving a long term organizational role and wants to take a fairly large body of email with him. The org, of course, uses Outlook 365 since no other email application exists on earth. :P
He wants to move it to a home-office version of Plain Old Classic Outlook. His org IT has been unhelpful. My searching turns up only sketches of how to do something so shortsighted, meaningless and destructive as leave Outlook 365.
Is there a process for getting 365 exports — PST files? — to any standalone version of Outlook, or any other decent email client?
(I should note there's nothing underhanded about this; he has full rights and permission to take his legacy docs and communications with him. But the IT department, with an average tenure of 2.4 years, can't conceive of the how/why here. And my 365 experience consists of poking at client/employer installations with a long stick.)
Thx.
