Hello,
I'm using Outlook 2007 and have for some time. Recently i've discovered that some messages (not all) go to the Outbox and then don't send when I click Send/Receive. GoDaddy hosts my email and I've been through all the settings with them. Tested and retested. At the end of the day, they say its an Outlook problem. I reinstalled Outlook - same thing happening. The message just sits there. No error messages. It just doesn't send. It seems to happen most often to messages that I'm replying to. New messages usually work. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance. Dan |

This issue is due to the improper settings of your Outlook program such as the incoming and the outgoing ports.

Thank you for the reply and the link. As I stated though, I've been through all those settings with GoDaddy. 3 different experts. Probably 2 hours of trying all kinds of different Email Account Settings. The problem is with Outlook.
I've just posted a screen shot of my outbox here (using Word Pad): Outlook 2007 Outbox screen shot.rtf The message 're:test3' will not send. 'test 3' will send normally when i click Send/Receive. Notice the icons to the left of the message are different. They arrive in the outbox that way, before Outlook even tries to send the messages. |

I think this is unrelated, but here's an error message I get when I click to create the first message after starting Outlook.
Outlook 2007 error message.rtf Not sure how to uninstall this add-in. |

Thanks for the ideas folks. It turned out to be the AVG Outlook Add In.
To disable it, I had to start OUtlook as an admininstrator, by Right CLicking the Outlook Icon on my desktop, then selecting Tools - Trust Centre - Add-ins - COM Add-ins - Go, and then deselecting the AVG add-in. So now i'm without that Add-in protecting my email. I can live with that. Hope this string helps someone else. Dan |
