I have had this issue for several months and cant find a way to fix the problem. Each time I close Outook and restart my computer and then try to start outlook again outlook freezes on the start up. Under the mail folders the grey bar which states which file is currently listed in the reading pane window is always set on "outbox". Often I have to restart the computer 2-3 more times and try opening in safe mode before the glitch is fixed and I can use outlook normally. When I try to end task on the not responding program it says outlook cannot shut down and suggests I restart my program. Ocassionally I can press end task about 30 times quickly and it causes the program to shut down.



Please help!!
