Red X on Cancel All and Work Offline

In Office 2010, Outlook, under Send/Receive, there is a Red X that can not be removed on Cancel All and Work Offline. In the instructions I should be able to click on each and the X would be removed. Will not happen.

The X's came on after installing Windows 7. Any ideas.

I have the red X on mine as well, but both buttons still work. I am running Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. When you click on Work Offline, does it say working offline in the bottom right corner? I think the red X can't be removed from those buttons.

The red X in working offline at the bottom right corner is always there. Also the other two. I do not believe that they should be red X. Any ideas to remove?
