Question Links in email won't open in Firefox

I'm sure this is a Firefox issue. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. When Firefox is my default browser and I click on a web link in an email in Outlook Firefox starts with a new tab but does not following the link to the page I'm looking for, the address line is blank. If I change my default browser to Safari, when I click on the link in the email, Safari starts with a new tab and goes to the page I want. If you've experienced this problem, did the problem get solved? I've left a notice on the Mozilla Forum explaining the problem, but have not received any replies. I would appreciate any help. Thanks
