Outlook centers new messages

When I compose a new outlook 2007 message, the email is centered. Everything that is typed is centered. I can choose to align left and it works correctly however. When I send a new email message to another person... In their outlook, it is also centered when they click to "reply" to my message. Their outlook only does that when they reply to my message.



Does anyone know what could be wrong?

This is not something i have seen an option for. Confirm that you are composing messages under the standard HTML format or plan text.

When composing a message select format text and select align left. Once done select close you should be asked to save your changes.

This is the only thing i can think of that might fix this problem.

Yes, If I choose Tools --> Options --> Mail format tab --> compose messages in HTML.

When I click "New' the new message comes up with the center button highlighted automatically and everything centered every time. If I click align left, it works.

Weird.

After you perform the align left and the message is aligned to the left. Close the composed message. It should prompt you to save your changes. Select save. Open a new message and see if that fixed it.

Oh yes. I have tried that. Aligned to the left, closed message and was asked if I want to save... Yes.

Next message is centered again.

Try this...
new message
Go to Format Text tab
Right-click on Normal in Styles gallery and choose Modify
In the Modify dialog box, change the alignment to left and then choose the option 'New documents based on this template'.
Click OK
