I had a corrupted .pst file which I ran scanpst.exe on and "appeared to run successfully. I am able to open the the file within Outlook and it looks to be all there but I can't search it. Even if I pick a subfolder and select a word I can see in a title, advance search will not find it. Aany ideas?

Butlerisland,
to help troubleshoot your issue, can you supply some questions to the following answers; - Is this .PST file your current .PST or an archived .PST? - Have you imported this PST into your Outlook client? If the PST is not set as an archived folder, you will not be able to search for any content within the file. The PST will need to be designated as the archive file. hope this helps. |

Spider Tech, thanks. Actually it was a .pst from an older computer that I was migrating into Outlook on a new laptop. Turns out, it just needed to index the file so it could be searched. It was big so it took awhile. Thanks for your response
