If the data has an e-mail format, when you copy by column Outlook automatically detects and separates adding the ";" when you click some other field.
If you copy by row (data side by side), automatic detection will not occur. |

the table is in the email itself. I copied the email column & pasted over in the To: field + clicked away, but it didn't separate them automatically.
