How do I turn off getting new emails and sending emails? I'm moving to a new PC and don't want automatic send and receive turned on.
I want to be able to launch Outlook on my new PC, but not have new emails coming in until I'm ready. I'm on Outlook 2013. I changed this setting, but I'm still getting new emails every time I launch Outlook. File> Options> Advanced> Send and receive> Set Send and Received settings for incoming and outgoing items. I unchecked send immediately when connected. |

Even while having Outlook open, I'm still getting new emails. So in both launch Outlook and just having it open, I can't figure out how to stop getting new emails.

I think I figured it out. When in File> Options> Advanced> Send and Receive, there is a Send/Receive button on the right-hand side. I clicked on it and unchecked Setting for group "all accounts" and schedule an automatic send/receive every 5 min. and that seems to have prevented automatic send/receive which is what I want. Now, I can manually send/receive when I want, but it no longer automatically sends/receives.
