Share contacts but keep the email address hidden from users, use these contacts to send a email
OK, It's going to be little confusing.
I work for a County, the County IT department of course runs the network. We are using outlook 2010. Here is a list of what I would like to be able to accomplish.
1) Have several contacts with just a name and email address. This group of contacts will need to be shared with only a select group of people in the County. That group can see the names but never see the actual email address, even when sending email to the contact.
2) Design a email template that will be available to the same select group of co-workers. This email will only be able to be sent to the the contacts I discussed in 1) above. Co-workers can see the contact name but not the email address. The email will have the body text pre-written with some fill in the blanks. This email will also need to be sent from one specific email address, not the senders email address.
3) And if that is not enough, I would like to have a very simple way for my co-workers to open the email template and only have access within that template to the specific contacts.
Let me explain what this would be used for. As we are a 911 dispatch center our Computer Aided Dispatch system automatically sends out specific information to the FD/EMS Stations via email. Well if and when CAD is down we would like to send this information manually using Outlook. Since things are already slower when CAD is down, we need this to be as quick and easy as possible. Oh, and those email address could create big problems if they got into the wrong hands, that's why they need to be kept hidden.
Now if all of this can't be accomplished, what can?
Thanks for any help.
