Signature Block has extra spaces

When I insert my signature at the end of an email, I have several lines between the bottom of my signature block and the separation line to the email I am responding.

I have tried to delete them when I edit my signature block, but Outlook still adds the extra lines. How do I eliminate these blank lines?
