Default Calendar does not allow any changes

My Outlook 2003 Calendar has strangely and spontaneously become locked down. I cannot create new appointments, cannot change existing appts. (I get the "The item may not have been properly deleted..." message), etc.

Anyone have any insight into how I may fix this? I hope my calendar has not been lost altogether...

DISREGARD!

Turns out I had a phantom Outlook.exe process running in the background, and when I killed it and restarted Outlook anew, everything worked as usual!
