Question How To Make 2013 Populate To Field

This subject has been discussed many times, but I can't get an answer for Outlook 2013. I have a number of address lists in Outlook from iCloud and Contacts. When I enter the first letter of the "To Field" last name my wife's Outlook will list all potential recipients beginning with first letter, with the list growing smaller as she enters more of the name. She finally selects one, and goes onto the next name. On my pc, I have to go into the actual lists to select a name and email address, Outlook will not populate the "To Field." Even after she sends out the email, the system remembers the email address, and will not supply it from the contact or recipients list, and the email address will at times not be known from memory. Any help in clearing this up will be greatly appreciated.
