How to get outlook distribution lists using outlook api

Hi
I am developing microsoft outlook integrated application using mfc visual c++ but i am not able to find any outlook api method through which i could get outlook's distribution lists. As getting outlook's distribution list while iterating over total contacts is time consuming. If any one knows the solution of this problem will be appreciated.
