Default Autocomplete wont work after closing outlook

Hi all

My wife accidentally deleted .pst files by removing stuff from her documents. I restored it from the recycle bin and i can send and receive emails. The autocomplete for address did not come back with the restored accounts. The autocomplete will function while you have a session going. If i send an email to someone and attempt to send them another I can select the address until i close outlook. When i reopen outlook it appears that the autocomplete file has been emptied. Can someone get me started down the right track. I have tried scanpst on both of the .pst files for my two email accounts and my personal folder. i am not sure that the .pst files restored to the right place. i am a real novice at this.
