To be honest, it would be tedious to amend the large number of individual rules which feed into the News folder.

From what I can tell, there are no rules which act on the basis of the (sub)folder in which the email is situated.

So I am 1) trying to automate a tedious task and 2) seeking to understand a new aspect of Outlook functionality, if it exists.

I hope someone can assist. Thanks.
