Somehow I have managed to create duplicate .pst files for 1 email account. I have the same file on C: and D:, and Outlook has them both open. If I try to delete one, Outlook refers me back to the Email account and will not delete either file. I have tried deleting 1 of the files while not running Outlook, but Outlook re-creates it when it next is run. I do not want to delete the Email account, this will delete the files. I need some help.
By the way, I have 2 different Email accounts and this has happened on both of the accounts. thanks |

Outlook can work with multiple PST files. If you have both files open in Outlook, close the one that is not the default.

It will not let me close either file. When I try, it tells me to go to the email tab. All I can do there is delete the account.
thanks |
