Default Cleaning then managing inbox

Over the years my personal email I've been lazy as anything in regards to keeping it clean. I have 30k emails (all read) sitting there and looking to tidy it up.

What i want to do is delete all the marketing emails, while keeping the ones that give details to orders etc

I've been deleting large chunks using the "from" option but wondering if there's a better way to do this?

Also any tips to keep my inbox tidy/empty?
