Conversation View - Preview Not Showing Last Sent Message

I have my Outlook 2016 to show emails in conversation view with the subject, participants and the first line of the message showing.



With the preview showing one line of conversation (or 2 or 3) the line(s) of conversation only ever show the last Received email, never my Sent email even if that was the last email sent in the conversation. Can the view be changed to show the last message sent even if it is from the Sent Items folder?

Secondly, a minor point. In Conversation Settings I have "Show Senders Above the Subject" ticked. This setting shows the senders below the subject so in actual fact is reverse in behaviour to what is expected. Is this the same for everybody?
