Hello Anjula
Sorry for the delay in replying. OK, I have two Microsoft email accounts, but will focus only on the Hotmail account at first, if that's OK? I go to Tools | Rules and Alerts...and see this: ![]() The Hotmail email address at the top is correct as is the name of the .wav file, but the 'Apply this rule after the message arrives from...' is incorrect. The rule should be applied whoever sends a message to that Hotmail address. I am taking this in baby steps ![]() Thanks again for your help. |

Not sure if you resolved this, but if not, be aware that you can also play a sound thru Windows. Go to Control Panel/Sounds and in the Sound Dialog box choose the Sounds tab. Then scroll down to New Mail Notification and specify a sound there. |
