constant request for password for Outlook.com

Hi. I have been getting a very high volume of requests to update my Password for Outlook.com on my iPhone 6. My phone draws my Contacts and Calendar from Outlook.com.
why does this keep doing this? this is happening more since I updates my Apple software.
