If you connect to your accounts using POP you can use a common folder. IMAP and Exchange Accounts are essentially links to the respective servers and Outlook treats them separately. The 'Favourites' folder contains copies of whatever folders you drag there. It's essentially a link to the same folder.

Thank you - that is very useful information. One further query - how does the Personal Folders tree fit into all this. I ask because, occasionally, email arrives in that one.
